Wisdom the key to a successful Marriage

Tue 12th-May-2015

What is more than riches but wisdom? Wisdom is the ability to use your knowledge and experience of life to make good advice using facts and wits at a critical time. What time can be more critical than a time like this when marriage is under demonic attack more than the Stone Age. No thanks to technology. Adultery is being decriminalized in some countries. Abomination!

Psychologists and all the ologists have it all sorted out how we should relate with ourselves and how to understand ourselves at the expense of GOD’S ultimate word. The knowledge of God makes the reference section of your library sad. All possessions without the bible are useless!

The clever and the smart ones are puzzling out the ABC of life, when God has all the low downon all alphabets. 1cor. 14:10. Do you know the largest building project ever? It is the universe! No road traffic in sight. He created every tiny molecules. The North pole, equator and planets. The bang is that the universe worked perfectly. When test-driven the first time. Genesis 1:31.

Each detail on our planet was carefully made to support human life. He made us and knows all our details being accompanied by an instruction booklet- THE BIBLE. Following the maker’s instruction will help us avoid malfunctions so as not to help us avoid malfunctions so as not to end up in the scrapheap in our marriages. Using this manual, I found the following which have proven to be helpful to make a successful marriage:

  • Don’t spoil what you have now by desiring what you don’t have.
  • Remember that what you now have was the thing you once hoped for. (remember how much you have prayed for this marriage).
  • Goal setting is good, but don’t focus too much on the end result. Rather, learn to rejoice in the Lord while you’re on your way.
  • Age is a matter of the mind over matter. As you get older, you’ve got to get out and do things. Otherwise you get stuck deeper and deeper in the mind.
  • Four things you must know about fear.
    • It wants you to run from what is not chasing you.
    • Rob you of peace and stability.
    • Torment you with ‘what ifs’.
    • Keeps you from trusting God. Don’t forget that perfect love drives out fear. Practice perfect love which comes from understanding God’s kind of love.
  • Put much more thoughts into you reading repertoire, spiritual nourishment and personal relationship than your wardrobe. Your inner peace and glow will never go out of style. Don’t put in such effort to make your marriage look perfect on the outside. Work on it from the inside.
  • To be aware is more than what you wear, trends have a short shelf life. There is nothing wrong with ‘must – have’ but remember they’ll only be hot for a short time. Update in small doses and re-mix existing clothes. If you love it. Look great in it, if you can afford it, buy it. Simple!
  • Happiness is a state of mind which only you can create for yourself by shunning anxiety. What makes a woman beautiful is her character proverb 23.
  • It is plain old sweat that solves problem demonstrated in the ability to say I was wrong (apologize) and when proved right to not say I told you
